The title of PER – Recreational Boat Pattern allows the government of motorized pleasure boats of up to 15 meters in length, with the appropriate engine power to it, for navigation carried out between the coast and the 12-mile parallel line to it, as well as inter-island navigation in the Balearic and Canary archipelagos.
In addition, it empowers the government of nautical motorcycles within the specific navigation limits applicable to them, according to their technical characteristics.
For the government of sailing pleasure boats of up to 15 meters in length, it will be necessary to carry out the sailing training practices.
Optionally, the attributions of the title to government of pleasure boats of up to 24 meters in length may be increased, also allowing the navigation made between the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, carrying out Extension Practices.
The theoretical exam, as well as its evaluation, is done in the places and dates published by the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine or Autonomous Community, to which the competences have been transferred.
